"Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes the furthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare. The 'sure thing' boat never gets far from shore"....Dale Carnegie.

It's a good thing I LIKE being close to home!!! I LOVE a "sure thing"!!!

The following is taken from Dale Carnegie's Scrapbook....

"Suppose we are so discouraged that we feel there is no hope of our ever being able to turn our lemons into lemonade--then here are two reasons why we ought to try, anyway--two reasons why we have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Reason one: We may succeed. Reason two: Even if we don't succeed, the mere attempt to turn our minus into a plus will cause us to look forward instead of backward; it will replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts; it will release creative energy and spur us to get so busy that we won't have either the time or the inclination to mourn over what is past and forever gone"....Dale Carnegie.

Well, I feel as if I have already succeeded, just starting to care about things. But I know some people are striving to actually accomplish something in their lives.  My friend Lee, who has been sharing music with me the past few months,  has overcome much in his life.  He is a walking miracle for real :-)  He is a sweet friend and a very good person for me....he didn't let me put him in the "online" friends file :-)  He earned my trust and is a good friend :-) He not only sends me interesting music....he troubleshoots my computer problems occasionally. Here is a little something about success I borrowed from Lee's website :-)

Don’t Be Afraid to Fail.

You’ve failed many times, although you don’t remember.

You fell down the first time you tried to walk.

You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim.

Did you hit the ball the first time you swung a bat?

Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the most home runs, also strike out a lot.

R.H. Macy failed seven times before his store in New York caught on.

English novelist John Creasey got 753 rejection slips before he published 564 books.

Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times but he also hit 714 home runs.

Don’t worry about failure.

Worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try.
